ESSAY B: Discuss the importance of the Nile River in the lives of Egyptians.
The social hierarchy is like a big pyramid that the Ancient Egyptians had back then. At the bottom are the slaves and servants and then its moves up to farmers and then to artisans. After that its the merchants and scribes and then the soldiers and Gov. Officials and lastly, the Pharaoh. The slaves and servants our the poorest people in Egypt because they have masters that could treat them badly or nicely but that doesn't matter they have to do the jobs that there masters our to lazy to do. Next, it moves up to farmers, they are in charge of feeding the people and trading for other goods throughout the Nile river. Next the artisans, they are in charge of painting, or drawing things in the pyramids or for the pharaohs. The merchants and scribes our really wealthy people who may have slaves or servants, and next our the soldiers who our responsible for not letting the country get conquered. and then the Gov. Officials make the rules with the pharaoh. The pharaoh is in charge of everyone and after he dies he becomes a god and gets buried in the pyramid with all valuable goods that everyone wants to get. King Tut's tomb still hasn't been found and there's only a few who new how to get there but they wont tell anyone because they don't want anyone stealing the goods.
The importance of the Nile river is that it was a good way to trade down to the south and north. It was a really aspect for the Egyptians because you could use the river as drinking river or you could bath in the river. And every July the river floods and ever October it leaves a good rich soil for farmers to plant there crops. You could get a small boat and travel as far as 2-8 miles down the river to trade for valuable goods. It was a really thing for everyone there.
Egypt was a really good place for everyone especially if you lives near the river then you will live a good life. And if the country was to get conquered by an enemy they you can travel down the river and until you reach free land so you don't have to pay to different country's for taxes and so therefore I think Egypt is a good place to live as long as you live near the river.
